Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SeatSignal, operated by SeatSignal (a subsidiary of Ever Capital Inc.), collects, uses and shares your personal information.
1. What we collect
- Account data: name, email, password hash, authentication identifiers.
- Profile data: career history, board experience, qualifications, references, headshot, preferences and any documents you upload.
- Activity data: positions viewed, shortlisted and applied to; AI documents generated; subscription tier.
- Payment data: handled by our checkout provider (FanBasis). We receive subscription status, not full card details.
- Technical data: IP, device, browser, log timestamps for security and debugging.
2. How we use it
- To match you with board positions and operate the Service.
- To generate AI-drafted application materials at your request.
- To send transactional emails and (if enabled) the weekly Monday Digest.
- To make your profile visible to approved search firms only if you have explicitly opted in via Recruiter Visibility.
- To detect abuse, debug issues and comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing
We share data only with:
- Infrastructure providers (database, hosting, AI gateway, email).
- Approved recruiters, only if you opted in to recruiter visibility.
- Authorities when required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. AI processing
When you generate documents, the contents of your profile and the target position are sent to an AI model gateway to produce the draft. We do not permit those providers to use your data to train their models.
5. Retention
We retain account and profile data for as long as your account is active. On deletion, we remove your profile and documents within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax or audit purposes.
6. Your rights
You may access, correct, export or delete your data from your profile or by emailing hello@getseatsignal.com. Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA) you may have additional rights, including the right to object to processing or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted via row-level security and role-based controls. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong unique password.
8. International transfers
We may process data in jurisdictions other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards.
9. Changes
We will update this policy from time to time and post the new effective date above. Material changes will be notified by email.
